
The sixth release in our NYC Brewery Series -comes from our generous friends at Keg & Lantern. Keg & Lantern is a true microbrewery located in the heart of Greenpoint that is always offering up an interesting take on the latest styles. With a wide roster that includes everything from NEIPAs to a Flanders Red, they've got a beer for every palate.
We Are Not Animals is a hybrid take on a Kettle Sour with judicious use of whirlpool and dry-hopping to create something truly unique. Built on a full-bodied base of Golden Promise malt and flaked wheat, the beer is soured with Omega's Lactobacillus blend and finished with Omega's Saisonstein's Monster. Paired with vinous and fruity Blanc hops, this is a funky, dry, aromatic brew that keeps it's animalistic tendencies in check
This recipe requires both a lactobacillus culture like Omega OYL-605, (or Lallemand Wildbrew Sour Pitch) and a fermenting yeast.
