The twelfth entry in our NYC Brewery Series hails from Island to Island Brewery.
Island to Island was established in 2015 "in the heart of Brooklyn with the soul of Trinidad." They are Flatbush’s first brewery since prohibition ended in the United States. Specializing in fruit craft beers, New York State hard ciders and non-alcoholic probiotic brews, Island to Island is broadening the scope of fermented American craft beverages by championing the use of indigenous American produce with a strong hyperlocal New York influence.
In keeping with their creative focus, Calypso Rose IPA uses Honey, Hibiscus and Rose Water to make a truly unique IPA. Using only Calypso hops for bittering and aroma, expect a mildly sweet, tart, and floral beer that pushes the boundaries of what an IPA can be.
